well its not as easy as you think or may hope, well actully i will contradicte myself here with the knowledge its to easy.......i would firstly look for a stb (box ) for your area, straview eurovox and kryptview are easy to set up as they are just a plug and play stb, after you have flashed a file to them, the ntl boxes can be more intriging as these need more work on the depending on the stb you have

some will only work in specific areas, so do your homework, dont buy a ntl box of ebay you are asking for trouble

get a specific stb in mind then ask questions

i think all of us were in the same boat at one time or another (me not so long ago). every one on this site will help you if you put the time and effort in and try to find the answers to what your looking for your self, instead of just asking quetion after question because they have all been answerd before and they are out there some where. if you pm me with somethig you cant find ill try to answer it or point you in the right direction. thanks

now we know what stb you have it makes it easier, is there afun card in the box or a ntl card or similar, this can make it easier and cheaper for you getting the details of the stb

so you might only need a programmer and nothing else
