Default Cancelling Sky

Hi,
I have recently cancelled my multi room subscription to sky but was told that I could still recieve the free channels on my multi room box in my bedroom at no cost. This indeed has proved to be true.

Now,downstairs I still have a Sky + box receiving the sports package.
I am now considering cancelling sky altogether, but have two questions-

a) would I still receive the free channels if I cancel with sky altogether

b) if yes, would I still be able to record them with the sky + box

thanks in advance for any help

Steve

Default Re: Cancelling Sky

You should still be able to receive FTA and FTV channels but you will not be able to use the S*y+ record feature.
This might change soon as S*y compete with freeview they might decide to allow you to use their recording facility freely, but I'm just guessing at that.
What wil happen is that you will get telephone calls from S*y offering you special discounts to get you back, and they will probably offer you a discount to keep your custom.
