Default S4C Kids channel to launch

The new childrens channel from S4C in Welsh will be unveiled today
in Conwy at the annual Welsh Language childrens getogether "URDD"

The programme will transmit on Freesat, FTA Astra 28,Using the spare
time on the unused S4C Digital capacity, 7.00a.m. to noon.Start June 08.
This still leaves S4C with its unused spare transponder, which is
only used once a year for 4 days at the Royal Welsh Show in July.

As usual funding is guaranteed, has S4C is a PSB, and recall CITV was removed from all Welsh land based transmitters last year.
