Camcorder problem

Hi there, first post in this section, I've got a Pannasonic camcorder thats about 4 years old last year it developed a fault(s) the first one being the tape wont load properly, it some times won't stay inserted for the case to be closed and it often comes up with 'Re-set' on the play back screen.
Any advise would be appreciated.
