Sadly I think you will not get this to work, I had a similar problem, motherboard is just too old, chipset will not support high density RAM - I upgraded my motherboard in the end - did make a big difference too
Either that or return your RAM for non HD |

ok here is where i am so far. i e mailed abit and they told me my mother board will take 2 GB Dual DDR 400 memory. i also downloaded a few programs like everest, cpuid, orca and pc wizard. the strange thing is that most of them can see the the 1gb stick along with the old 512mb as it says my total memory is 1536mb but (pc wizard) it tells my that i have two slots, a0 and a1. the 512 is in a1 and the 1 gb is in a0 but it tells me that a0 is empty, after it just told i have a total memory of 1536mb.
cpuid sees both fine, orca cant see the 1gb at all everest cant see the 1gb either. Last edited by outlander83; 29-05-08 at 12:41 PM. |
