Default Old Firmware?

Hi all,

I seem to have bricked my eurovox maxv, and it's not a clone! I've checked and it's definately legit so I have done my research and someone on another board suggested downgrading the firmware to the old one - I think 2.0 was on it before - then re-flashing it to 2.10.

Can anyone point me in the direction of previous firmware please?

Or any other ways of fixing it? Everything seems to work apart from the channels - i mean, all the lights on the front are fine, all the gui works too, but there is no signal at all - i've tried different cables and different f adapters but no joy, and also have re-scanned.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Ta

There is both new and old firmware on thechatterbox toolbar and if your box is working but no signal then it's not bricked. Which firmware did you put on it?

no signal seems to point to a cable fault. Have you tried scanning removing all splitters and scanning from the direct feed? Might be worth a shot.

Go to Menu / Config / System Information - what date is appearing beside S/W Ver?

And what message is on the tv screen?

No I haven't tried that but I have another box that works perfectly off the exact same set-up, so I don't think it's that mate, although at first I thought it would be that too.

The message just says no signal and the S/W Ver is 1.0 STC4 Apr 10 2008

Any ideas?

Oh, and I have just noticed that when i turn the box on at the mains it works for about 25seconds before crackling and then breaking up completely to say no signal

m forit, thanks for the help mate - i thought it must be a tuner problem too but i seem to have fixed it! (somehow)

The firmware I had on was th April 10th one (i've put it on at least 10 boxes and it's worked perfectly each time) but obviously didn't on this, so instead of rolling back the firmware I put the April 28th firmware on and it works now! It's really odd but must just be one of those things.

Thanks everyone for your help its much appreciated
