Not sure if I get BBC HD or not. I will give it a test when I have installed KLite codec pack.

I want to take an image first using acronis as I just got the mediaportal and my media PC setup just nice. I dont want KLite codec pack to screw anything up haha

Not done anything special mate to get it working so it MUST be a codec issue you have. I was using vista before as my OS and sometimes I would only get sound and no picture on channels so I formatted.

here are my steps to getting it all working....

Format machine
Installed windows XP
Install Windows XP SP3
Installed all windows updates
Installed the technotrend drivers on the CD
Installed MediaPortal
Installed MediaPortal TV Server
Installed the Media Portal Patch to allow softcams
Made sure my Free to air channels were working.
Installed KLite latest codec pack
Rebooted
All channels including BBCHD are now working

Thats it, nothing special to get it working :-(

I then installed acronis to get a complete image of the media PC just incae anything ever goes wrong.

Hang in there 666 you will sort it. I bet you its something dead simple you have just missed.

666 i had an issue with the signal strength and quality, it was down to my pc being up against the back of the desk and pushing the cable which inturn moved the plug slid pc forward an inch checked cable and card connection all ok again!

yes its my line its all working down my brothers so looking at what my proplem is here,, just glad its working with hd,, but my brother wonts to try mediaportal
