Default Lost Volume on Pace

Hi all, i have a Pace 4001-n. About a week ago the box updated itself when i turned it on. Ever since this happened i am unable to use the volume bar and mute button will not work! This is when i turn volume up and down. i have looked in the settings menu and tried to adjust it there but to no avail. Any ideas on how i can fix this?

Plus since then everytime i have started up my box, numbers on the front have come up which are

PL03
PL21
AP00
AP02
AP10
AP12
AP21
AP30
AP31
AP41
AP42
AP43
AP50
AP53

Does anyone know what these mean? Thanks in Advance

BTw the box is working fine still but the volume control is doing my head in!

firstly the numbers are the new updat some sort of emm decryption as for low volume i think your remote has lost the tv settings they are in the menu just follow instructions i think its under technical stuff

i know you said it had taken an update but have you swapped the scart lead around. you wouldnt be able to change the volume if the scart was in the vcr socet instead of the tv one.
