Default My Own cable modem

I have my own cable modem that i have given to flash to someone just wanted to know is it wise using my own modem or should i use a different one? Is there any way of virgin finding out?

I seem to remember reading at the bottom of many, many posts that ONLY A FOOL modifies their subscribed equipment.

Thanks bubba but im not subscribed with ntl anymore i left them about a year ago? And how is it that virgin cant find out?

is it cuz of the serial number they can find out? I just thought if it is obviously a different mac Then they wouldnt be able to find out. Sorry im new to all this.

You might be alright if it's an old unit no longer subscribed, I thought from your posting that it was a current one.

I'd be interested in peoples thoughts on this one since I have my old surf board modem in the loft that could easily be harnessed back into some sort of service!

go for it bubba...as long as your not subcribed with them and they havnt contacted you about the modem then mod it...personnaly i would do it...
