A couple of things I would check
If the graphic card has a fan check it is clean and running Check your card drivers are up to date I note that you are running vista 64 bit (drivers are much scarcer in this version) |

Check the games manufacturers web site for patches/updates for Vista.
Check your Motherboard manufacturer for updates. Check your memory with memtest or other utility, or try removing it and inserting it one stick at a time and then playing the game. Try leaving the panels off your computer to allow it extra cooling. Have you also checked the settings in the games as they usually allow you to set the 3d effects and graphics card settings. What games are you running? Are you experiencing problems with every game or just a few? What have you got running in system tray when playing the games? Try disabling any anti virus, unless playing online, and check task manager by pressing control Alt and Delete on your keyboard, abd shutting off anything that could be causing the problem. |

Doesn't the MSI motherboard have a utility for monitoring the temperatures?
I used to have an older MSI motherboard, in a computer I built, which had such a utility, check the Motherboard drivers and utilitied disc. I'd always check the games sites first to see if anyone else is experiencing freezing problems with Vista, and check the games manufacturers sites for updates and known problems. |
