nokia no transponder found

cable definitely ok
my results are

ber = 3654
snr = 22472
sig = 62784

i, m sure i read somewhere the ber has to be a low figure
so is this a tuner fault and would swapping the three components that are normally the problem in tuner (so i've read) fix this

snr has to be over 55000 to recieve a picture....signal or tuner problem, try a booster...remove any splits try box as first feed...

ive tried a friends box at mine
and yes twintown perfect picture with his snr 66000
so definitely a dodgy tuner
anyone had any luck repairing these tuners?? looking around its normally 3 components that fail 1 transistor and 2 resistors

I'm having the same problem except the search goes on for around 10 minutes to half an hour. I've also bought that booster plasterer (thanks for the suggestion!) but no luck, still nothing.

Hi

What are your ber snr and sig readings with and without booster. You probably will need to ftp services file to get it t work. When its doing the scan does it find any transponders.

Hi Rodboy

I have had a good few boxes where the scan will not have results even if readings are good and only way they have worked is to ftp services to them, the poster I have replied to is not the original poster just in case you are getting mixed up with the rest of the thread. I really dont know what was wrong in asking what his readings were or telling him he may have to ftp a services file to box.
