Default Lifetime II - UK Channels

I am a newbie and lost.

My fortecstar lifetime II works fine. I think I am lined up with Astra2A but even a full satellite TP search does not find BBC/ITV/C4 channels.

I even typed in the TP number, freqency, SR and orientation but although it finds some channels they are not what is supposed to be there.

Maybe I am on the wrong satellite although the elevation and azimuth suggest Astra.

If anyone out there can help I should be very grateful indeed.

Hi mate, welcome to the forum.

You are without a doubt on the wrong satellite, if you have the correct frequency, FEC and Symbol Rate then you should be getting whatever channels are on that transponder.

Do try again to find 28.2E, you might be on any satellite, if you have a look where the neighbour's dishes are pointing then that will be where 28.2E will be. Try to find a transponder that has got a frequency that is particular to Astra 2/Eurobird @ 28.2/28.5E and when you get a good signal on it you will be sure that you have the right satellite.

Very best regards Wez

If you name the channels that you got, and the transponder frequency you typed in, we could tell you exactly what satellite you had.

Alternatively consult www.lyngsat.com
