I'm looking into upgrading my speed on my Webstar epc2100 Modem. I have read the Haynes Cable Modem Guide but I'm unsure exactly which bit I need to do.

Can somebody tell me which section I need to read please, I really am a dumb technophobic

PS: My modem has already been 'done' so it doesn't need that doing.

ok I think I know what to do now.

I need to obtain a mac address using DHCP Force, will that really take me 2 days to find some?

what firmware is in it?.....if it's the 250 stuff just use 250 configurater to change the config and enable force config or use ambit config tool.
