Default VM daily updates

Hi all, total noob and first post but I thought it a serious and valid question before I even consider buying other equipment.

Im not interested in buying a STB for viewing as I need a PVR solution so I chose to find out about the PC side of things.

Great forums by the way....

Anyway, the question is, how do these daily updates from Vm affect PC cards??

I've had a search but couldn't find specifics for the PC stuff.

Will the updates affect DVB-C cards as they have done alot of STB's???

Thanks

Anyone???

I could do with knowing cos there's a nice looking card on fleabay ending tonight.

EDIT:

Thanks for that, you replied while I was posting.

I see that the Dbox / Starview boxes are unable to cope with the new updates. Would this scenario be repeated or PC cards or would it be easier to keep on top of it??

use hard cam and au mosc or fun, they take the keyrolls with no probs...if u are planning to use vista mce as ur app i'd go for a floppydtv, expensive, unless u can pick 1 up of fleaybay or von fleabay.de....they r a lot less hassle....
