A channel list is a list of all the channels that can be found in your area (sometimes sorted to remove rubbish)
you can download someone elses list to your box providing they are from your area to save you from having to rescan all frequencies
when you have sorted all your channels in the order you want you can save that file and reload it anytime after doing a reflash of firmware
You can also edit the list on your computer (much easier than doing it on the box)

Mornin'. Can I ask if anyone has a "how to" doc that explains how to save your sorted files and also edit the list via your PC please?

Thanks in advance

You need to connect the box to your pc with the null modem cable
run the gtrom
Click on upload this will open a box where you can choose where to save the file and also give it a name
click on Save and this will upload your channel data file from your box to the computer

From the SVCE (starview channel editor program) you can edit the chanel lists etc.
