Default SL65/12 about to be paperweight

Hi
I have carried out the latest Truman update and guided my little dish to the right point in the sky and whoopee I got all the channels i wanted sort of! But, I have then tried to upload the latest keys and my box wont recognize my pc, even tried changing com ports to no success, all the channels I can get are in German and I seem to have no option to change the audio (which is pi**ing the wife off a bit), I have tried to reinstall Astra 28 to no success even after following the walk through on the forum.
If someone cant help me my SL65/12 is gonna be a paperweight very shortly.

My set up is SL65/12 & 60cm camping dish.

Your dish is pointing at 19E not 28E

Can't help with the SL65, but what ever you do, if you want the 28E, you are still going to have to point the dish that way.

Do you know how to add and delete transponders?, if you do, you could use one of the other satellites entries(that is not being used) for 28E, and get the details from Lyngsat.

Thanks i didn't know I could do that. Do i have to rename the satellite from the menu or just change the settings? if there is a post about this please could you point me in the right direction. I think i have all the transponder info and setting info at hand as I have come to you guys as the last resort after spending hours reading forums with no success.
Thanks Almostbald

"I seem to have no option to change the audio"

red button becomes the audio button when you have the truman patch fitted

try it on one of the premiere 1 to 4

No, you would not have to rename it, but obviously less confusing for the user if you did. I have never used a Silvercrest, so I don't know how to use one, but there may be something somewhere in this section. It must be possible to edit transponders though as this is a basic functionality that any receiver needs, to operate effectively. That is of course if the Truman Patch hasn't bu99ered it too much.

I'm only guessing, it is probably OK. But it obviously doesn't have the same functionality as the original as for example the audio button has been changed.

To be honest, I'm not quite sure why people mess about with these receivers, sounds a bit dodgy to me. Get a Technomate, far less hassle.

AB, git tha'sen over to satboard.uk.to forums, lad, and post a query. There are many people on that forum using Truman firmware on their SL65s and someone will be able to help you.

No offence, Robbo, but it's simply the best place to find people with experience with this kit (and an SL65 B1 can do nigh on the same as a TM FTA if you know how).
