I think I've buggered up my modem.

I tried to change config using 250 configurator but I think I did it wrong.

Now the configurator will no longer connect to my modem & obviously I have no internet access off that modem now.

I tried to change the config from cm.bin to the business one but it's messed up.

The only 2 lights showing on my modem now are the Power light & the PC light. The cable light is now off as well as the Send/Receive lights.

Please can anybody advise me on what exactly I need to do to bring my modem back to life?

not well up on this, first did you restart modem, if you did i would ,Set your IP address to: 192.168.100.10
Set your GateWay to: 192.168.100.1 then restart and see if it connects

Yes I restarted the modem & ever since it hasn't been working.

How do I set my IP address because at the moment there is no way I can communicate with the modem I don't think....

No mate, I still can't communicate with my modem.

I am using the right programme to do this aren't I? (250 configurator)

DOes anybody else know how I can re-communicate with my modem?

have you got max cable or you could try ambitconfig0.971beta,, by the way how long you had this on line before you did change

ok 1 more try,, make sure you got optain ip automatally back in control panal, restart modem give it 2 mins,, press repair in connections, that should give you a default ip, start configurater see if it connects

No max cable no.

My modem has been online for 2 years now.

I could give that a try, however I'm wondering whether all this is to do with my modem not having the cable light on?
