Unhappy Wrong Local News On The Box

I have just bought a Starview 3 box and I have loaded the software onto it and scan the channels But everytime when I scan the channels, The wrong local news channels come up You see I live in Manchester and Central news or London keeps coming on my box.Can anybody help please..

Starview,s are a bit funny for that, I get lots of "ITV1" channels and one of them that says my region I get a Black screen whereas on ITV1 Border, I get the local Anglia news and I get that on all the other ITV1 channels like Wales and London. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do that I know of as the Starview 1,2 or 3 has no way of "selecting" the local channel for your area from the Data stream. Why you get Central or London is a mystery as it must be carried on your area stream.

It was only last week I had all the right channels on this box, I have another starview 3 box and that is alright, I cant understand why this one is different. Like I said it was alright last week Its since i did a rescan on the box. Anyway thanks for the advice.

Wait untill reginal news is on then delete your news channel it will change to another keep doing this until you get right channel or copy frequency of your good box & rescan manualy.
