Default mediaportal/tvserever/vplug/ setup

files need:..install in order
1:install mysql..(download dont use the 1 in MP dont forget yor password)

2.install MediaPortal_Setup_1.0_RC1_Refesh..(when setting up look out for advanced setting after selecting watch hd tv ect selet advanced click on use mysql already is installed)u choose 1 or other MP as 1.0 RC1 has mysql built in and tv server
3:install MediaPortal_0.2.3.0_RC3_Setup plus tv3 server
4:download MediaPortal_TV_Server..(a rar file contain these files there are more in there but not try yet )..(put ..MDPlugins..#register.bat..FFDecsa.dll..mdapifilt er.ax)..into C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server
then run register.bat from folder
4:install your transponned file goes in..C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\TuningParameters
5:install vplug to...C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\MDPlugins
6:start TV-Server Configuration
7:mysql will start put in pass word and test hopefully it will work
8:MP console will start
9:click on tvservers with in console
10:controlpanel/Administrative Tools/services..(check to make sure mysql and tvservices are started if not start them)while your there check as well> logon tab and tick interact with desktop
1 otherthing when installing mysql were u put the password tick the box below (root)

hey 999,

how do you start vplug?
i have done everything as instructed, yet i do not find a way to start vplug.
can you help out?

you need to make sure in the vplug configuration file, that the directory for plugins points to your mdplugins folder.

vplug will load on it's own following the load of the mdapi filter.

you vista or xp?

vplug will start auto m8 but in xp services ..myslq and tvservices ...logon tab and tick interact with desktop
ps i found 0.2.3 better than the new 1

ps 1 thing i forgot u need to go to services in window...look for mslq and tv servcies log on tab and check to interact with desk top

OK.. i've got it working so far, i've scanned all the channels.. but when i run the media portal config, it cant see my tv card.. yet it is seen in the tv_server config and has scanned channels.. what am i doing wrong!?

when u start does dvb start in taskbar by the clock with vplug....if not check tvservices

Sorry, when you say "dvb" what do you mean?

if i start mediaportal and go to "my tv" it just says missing file (or similar) on the screen that should be showing the tv channels.
