flashfxp is an ftp program that sets up connectivity between ur box an pc, u do this by by altering the network settings, ipaddress etc, it enable u to interact, transfer files to and from the dbox to the pc or vice versa.

image flash assistance is used when an image is corrupted and u have lost connectivity with the box....it forces through boot manager a temp ip address to ur box and loads an img onto ur box, as long as it's a valid img the box should reboot with the new img...
