Default Newbie question

I was thinking about buying a technomate but being of none technological minded and have no idea about them, is it just a case of plug in, connect up or is it more complicated?

The regular Technomates are very easy to use; the Linux technomates may be trickier.

There is also the matter that you need a dish (or dishes) aligned to the satellites that you want to watch TV from; not that difficult to align a dish generally, but the person has to know some basics.

No you will get no free channels from that satellite. You need a dish or dish's or a motorised dish to get the best of technomate. They need to be pointed at different sat positions.

Technomates are all very easy to set up and most now have usb slots from easy patching. 5000 series are the favourites. The tm9100 is a linux box and therefore naturally harder to set up.

Here are a list of packages currently available.

The only way to get sky pay channels via satellite involves a subscription card

Echo You will not get pay TV for free; you will get 200 genuinely free channels though!

Please do not use those obscene words in the sat section (Euro vox)

The TMs are good for some other satellites in that respect, but for Sly, they are not.
