Easy to get caught?

hi all, now here a question that ive been searching the answer for on the net but no one seems to know.

using a hacked cable modem is the best but can you get caught and how...i mean how can they find out if your using a hacked modem and receiving free internet...

any ideas, theories, hypotheses anything is welcomed.

Well yes they will know you are on line your Physical address will show at their end,in fact they will know the make of your motherboard , after that its what you type, ie if you collect e-mail from a cell phone ect,ect,

gee tnks Robo....lol...nah im just wondering cuz ive spoofed my nic and i hope that helps but my rents wnted it aswell thats the only reason im asking...so just to clarify how do i stop from geting caught...(apart from not doing it)

Spoof NIC MAC and change regularly, change modem serial, MAC and usernames (IP and telnet) often, disable SNMP access, don't access NTL / Virgin Media email via POP.

That's about all you can do apart from the obvious, ie don't do it and/or unplug it if there's a VM guy fannying about in the green cab on your street lol.
