Default Dead Pace 2000 after Voltmeter tut

I have followed the tut on getting the bk using the volt meter method.

i soldered up everything correctly and successfully got my ird in the 1st test.

after i have done the rest of the testing, i have powered up by box and it seems dead.

when I connect the power to it, it says "pace" and the top led flashes rapidly, any ideas?

hmm, sometimes the top led flashes normaly. i cant unserstand it, surely its just like puting a led simm in?

.... actually, its not flashing at all now but i have no output on the scart.

have messed about more with it and now, by using the jumper on the pins near the atmels instead of near the battery, got it to have the full led display on, (like when you turn a calculator on) also, i have noticed there is space for a jumper on the board, below the atmels. if i short this out, it seems to do something but ive still nothing happning.

i have a scart output of a blank screen.

i think this might be soething obvious im missing......

is there a master reset other than the jumpers?

its been a while but ive just successfully done another.

if your thinking of attempting this mod, this might help you....

get someone to shout out the pin numbers and tell them 'on' or 'off' and then they record it as a one or a zero.... also, tell them to let you know when you swap chips.......
