Default anything with sky??

hi, i have a newbie question....
i'm in a building which has a common sky dish, no cable.
can i get a itgate 220 or dreambox 600 with satellite tuner
& pick up anything from the sky dish other than the normal
free view channels, which i currently get?
(the reason for getting one of these boxes is that in future
if i move to a cable area i can get a cable tuner to pick up cable tv),
thanks
jas

Hi, yes the Dreambox can be used to receive the Sky channels. You would need to load the approprate plug-in/emulator.

Oh, and obtain a subscription to Sky for the channels you want too.

so basically all i can pick up with a dreambox &
sky dish is sky channels & thats if i subscribe to sky?
to pick up any other channels (worldwide), i'd have to get another dish?
(which my building won't allow!)

If you can get to the dish safely you could point the dish at 19 or 13 east and get say premiere

on 19east

sorry should of read the full thread before posting ust seen its a shared dish

without sky sub looking at fta

Might be possible to (seek permission) to fit a second LNB (on a multi LNB holder) on the existing dish to feed 19E to your receiver...
