How can I bypass the pin code on Sagem dbox? I have tried 0000 and 1234. How can I reset the password or remove it. I want to do a service scan but when I press on services I am asked for a pin code. I don’t know the pin code. Can someone help? Thanx in advance.

Hello Mate

There are 2 methods to find the pincode on a dbox2

either ftp into var/tuxbox/config and view neutrino.conf, look for parentallock_pincode=####

the #### is the pincode.

If you want you can do it from the dbox
Choose Tuxbox Commander
var ok
tuxbox ok
config ok
scroll down to neutrino.conf ok
then scroll down to the line, it is in alphabetical order.

You should be able to sort this using the dbox menu structure eg if your image is Blade or Andromeda go to settings > personalisation. You can change the pin code or you can set the box up so that you are never prompted to enter a pin code.

Nice bit of info paul had a mate who couldnt remember his pin number

Thanx a lot plasterer. Problem sorted. I used the second method and was able to get the password.

I also tried the first method via ftp and I could see the "neutrino.conf" file but I didnt know how to "View" it. What program do I need to use to read .conf files. That for futue reference.

Thanx agian for helping me out.

use any txt editor app.....i use ultraedit but micro$oft wordpad is ok
