HI

started ordering dvd from sources abroad can not play them at the moment as both my dvd players chuck them out.I have a Daewoo DRV 6700p dvd recorder and a silvercrest(Lidl) player,can anybody help?

Had a look for you on the net at the usual places, for the Silvercrest you could try:

Open the dvd drawer

Enter 9999 wait a second or two and then enter...

9 - region free.

Close the dvd drawer

OR

Open tray and press 2812 on your remote.

You can change the Region at this point, to 9 for Region Free, Close the drawer.

Dont know if either of these hacks will work for your unit but you should give it a try.

To be honest I can't even find that daewoo machine on the web, can you confirm the model number again, I'll have a look later on, glad your other machine is working.

I could not find it either.The manual is for 3 models.

DF-4501PV
DF-4700PN
DRV-6700P

I am sure mine is the last one,but can not locate original receipt and packaging,it is a vcr-dvd recorder combo from Maplins.

HI

Found a hack,setup,system info,1101.Then you have to change number in highlighted screen.Works ok,slight problem it will not let you set zero,so you have to alter it for different dvds,annoying or what?

Congratz on finding the hack,not ideal but not the end of the world as you can play your DVD's now..

Got to be a winner,as the price in this country is terrible dont think they want ordinary blokes to watch films.

DRV-6700P Daewoo. I am having trouble copying VHS to DVD. Says they are copy protected although they are tapes generated by myself. Is there any way to disable this? Perhaps similar to the region disable fix? Thanks, Andy
