Default A few Starview3. Basic Questions.. Help needed!

Hi,
I’ve got a few basic questions about the Starview 3 box.
After trying to update the Starview 3 box myself and finding out I had “broken box” I had a replacement which was pre installed with the software. The system info is..

API Ver: 4.51e_E
Boot Ver:7.0
9.Jul.2007.

1) When I was trying to install on the 1st box I was using GTROM_Super 705e. I have been told that this is an original Starview 3 box. Looking on the web it appears that I have not got the latest version and if it’s a Starview 3 box I should use 7.05e. Can Starview 3 run on 4.51e or have I got a Box and not a Super box .. Is there much difference between 4.51e and 7.05e?
2) Some of the channels show up in the EPG but have a no channel name.. e.g. TV7107 is Discovery Turbo. I know I can change the description but is there any reason why some have names and others do not?
3) I have loads of blank channels and want to remove the ones I don’t want… e.g. TV7114, TV1, TV2, DL Samsung 2, LL PACE2. I know how to delete them but are these just spare ones that are not broadcasting or are they channels that have not been scanned correctly and I should keep them?
4) If I delete and rename any channels will an update to the box..like 7.05e, wipe out all the changes?
5) I use the TV output connection on the back of the box as I use a second TV upstairs.. but the picture on this is nowhere near as good as it was on the same output of the NTL box. Lots of wavey lines going across the screen.. anyone else get this?

Thanks in advance for your help!

WOW,by what u say u have serious problems with your rf network in u hse, try factory reset the box and retune ur channels, should sort out the blank ones if not delete m........

Seriously my advise is to do a lot more reading as most of your questions can be answered with a little research.... LOL

if you have a starview2 the firmware should be 454.e.E and you can load with gtrom 4.03... if you have the box super the best firmware at the moment seems to be 6.01e and the firmware is incorperated into the loader... hope this helps
