Default USB problem

I have bought a USB to serial converter and RS232 NULL modem cable but the PC is not recognising the eurovox. Is this a problem with the COM PORTS?

It is possible - the com port your adapter is connected to should be numbered between 1 and 4 (3 seems to be the favourite).

You will need to have the adapter plugged into your PC in order to change/check the port settings under Device Manager.

Have never done it myself (will give it a ging 2moro) but go into Device Manage and expand out 'USB Controllers'. Right click on the first one and select 'Update', when that's finished, repeat with the next and so on.

i had the same problem with vista i used com port 4 and when downloading firmware got message 'receiver not detected' followed by 'would you like to download in boot mode' which i did by pressing download and the power socket to eurovox off and then on . downloaded no problems. hope this helps.
