ikay pro or commando

hi at the moment iam useing commando 9.2 the problem is it keeps freezing i change the cams and uncodes but to sill no joy,i am going to flash my box with the ikay pro, the question i have is can i just use a null cable or will i need a crossover cable as well, also i will be useing the fla as i think it will be easier, will the ikay pro over right the commando? if not can you tell me how to delet the commando img so i can have a fresh new img thanks

If I were you I would use the FTP method for a first time flash since IFA doesn't always work first time. Only Crossover cable required for this method. Make sure you have the correct image to suit your box ie 1x or 2x.
The existing image including all files is erased during the flash process so it's a good idea to back up a few files via FTP before starting. Back up your services and bouquets for starters from var/tuxbox/config/zapit and definately the keys folder in /var.
As for your freezing it sounds like you have a Sagem box. Try Blade Quad image or Lincsats Beta 6 image and once up and running, run the key copy routine to copy evocam keys to gbox, then change EMU to gbox. Sagem boxes are known to run better on gbox.
