Default do many experience probs with BOX PVR recording?

Hi,

got a new BOX PVR few weeks back with 500gb western digital IDE drive, formatted it etc, recorded and viewed back a few programmes over the first few days but now nothing! it will start recording from EPG or if you press red button but at the end, it won't have recorded or box freezes and you have to plug it out and in again.
the HDD just keeps coming up as 100% free.

strangely everytime you press HDD button a screeen comes up which would normally show recorded titles but at the top "music box" is displayed. is this significant?

anyone else having similar problems or experiences with "the box PVR".
should i maybe try reformatting the hard disk again?

regards

PAul

When I bought my Starview PVR (the earlier version of The Box PVR) I was told the maximum size hard drive you could use was a 320gb drive.
Do you know if its a 7200rpm drive?
I would try formatting the drive again while in the PVR.
I sometimes get a "non" recording but this is due to my timer trying to record a channel that has moved frequency or channel.

Hope this helps.

All.

If the Channels are re-encr*pted once during the recording - then the recording will be stable up until this point.

The best option is to POWER off the PVR Device from the back - then turn back on - before any recordings.

I am just waiting for the new PVR FIRMWARE.

COME ON GUYS!! :c heers:
