[quote=Rodboy;183419]I use IFA version 2.2 and the following procedure works

Fertig and smiley faces on LCD means success
disconnect network
off then on at the mains

Hi,
Thanks for the instructions,
After i get FERTIG, smiley faces, i disconnect network, off an on at mains, the dbox goes into a loop of net boot and eventualy times out into Klein system.

I get a autoboot disabled message and it goes to net boot again, untill i put network cable back in then it goes through the upgrade process again ...

Any ideas please ?
regards.

Turn off windows firewall
Disable wireless network connection

Rename image file mtd3.img and store it in C:\

set Local Area Connection network IP to 192.168.0.201
( IFA automatically sets dbox IP to 192.168.0.202 )
configure Local Area Connection link speed / duplex mode to 10Mbps / half duplex

open IFA
select image for flashing ( mtd3.img from C:\ )
select network device ( there should only be one available )
switch dbox on
press start
a dialogue box pops up
switch dbox off
click ok
switch box on
flashing should begin
progress is indicated on LCD ( IFA image on TV screen )
Fertig and smiley faces on LCD means success
disconnect network
off then on at the mains

The flash process takes three or four minutes.

Note that it might not kick in first time, but this method will flash your box and / or recover from a kein system / loading kernal error.

Good luck
hi done what you say here but will not connect to box ,total novice close to smashing d box up.

It will only connect when IFA kicks in............as stated, does not always work first time. There is no network until IFA creates one !!!!!!!!!
Keep trying even if it takes 10 attempts.......this method will flash your box.

I can vouch for this method, it just bought my dbox back to life. Once the ifa is running on the PC, switch the dbox on. If you don't get an image on the tv screeen, switch the dbox off and on again. Keep doing this till it shows the IFA static image on screen
