Green light for German Silverfakes TV

The operators of German pay-TV broadcaster Silverline Movie Channel (pictured, left) have received the green light from German anti media-concentration commission for a new television channel.

Silverfakes TV, the channel’s working title, will be mainly comprised of user generated content, KEK announced in Potsdam. Material will be checked by the broadcaster before going to air. Programmes will initially be screened from 4pm until midnight and later from 2pm until 2am free-to-air on cable and satellite (Astra and Eutelsat).

The channel’s operating company, TV 3.0 GmbH, is backed by Andreas Brandl and Axel Münch who each hold 50% and also hold 50% each in Silverline Television AG, which operates Silverline Movie Channel.
