Default TM5300D-USB--Recording

Hi Guys!

Can my receiver record FTA channels into my USB?

The EPG record set up is straight forward. Channel Select, times on-off etc.

However I can see no way to select "record to usb"

Is there something else that I must do with the USB set-up?

regards

Hi M8,

I got a Technomate TM5300D+ USB too...
It works fine to records via the USB gate.
It works with standalone external Hard disk en Memorystick.
Just remember to format it in advance as FAT32. I tried it before as NTSF but the Satreceiver did not recognice the item. In FAT32 it works fine with a HD of 40Gbyte. When you plug it in and power on the receiver it say initializing USB gate. After that when you like to record only push record botton or work via EPG.

Marc, Thanks for the reply to my post. Apologies for the delay in replying

but I was back in the UK which isn't where my satellite equipment is.

Anyway I am down here in Portugal. Got the recording function working

but I can see I need a big usb pen-drive. 10 minutes of the Olympics

used up 350kb of memory. On top of that the file was in .ts format so

that had to be converted if I wanted to watch it in DVD format.

I have another spare external dvd drive so I may give that a go.

Thanks anyway

regards
