Hi all, great forum from what i've read so far!
Gonna jump on merry-go-round this weekend and purchase probably a Max V.
Little bit of advice first please
Lots of these boxes being sold on fleebay, all of which say boxes are genuine and not cloned,but are supplied un-flashed!!!
I understand they can't advertise selling flashed boxes but my question is:-
a)Does this model need to be flashed to receive all the goodies at this stage or
b) Anyone know of a reputable site selling flashed boxes with latest firmware or
c) If i have to buy a standard one and flash it myself anyone know what area code Wolverhampton is? Currently subscribed to VM but ideally would like to cancel tv sub and just keep internet.

c. Will work fine with just internet connection. Not sure of Wolves code. Do a site search and it should turn up.

Hi Guys - I too am going to buy one this week and wanted to know
(A) is my old NTL cable still likely to be live and able to work even though I only subscribe to internet now also (B) where do I get dabbaman/dnupman are these just for transferring the new software when flashing and which is best for Max V 08, also (C) where on this site is the downloads section and is this where to get the newest flash from - Thanks

The box will work if you split your internet connection. You dont need loaders for the latest firmware as they are UFLs, (Unified firmware loaders). And the download section is here http://www.techwatch.co.uk/forums/25...oad-links.html

dnupman etc are for clones. They will void your warranty too on a genuine box. As Sats says, stick to UFL. Piece of cake when it does work!
