Help & Advice needed

i have 2 di4001 one of them stucks on tune the other doesn't update and on old N*l systems.

i switched the turners of the two boxes, now one of them updates in a minutes but cays smartcard not inserted properly, the other stucks on tune, is there a way i can take the slot where the card goes in and fix it with the one that updates.

help is really appreciated.

There is a guide in the privtae fta for stuck on tune boxes.

With the box which is not in tune would you have the box key and ird??

yes i have and i even progr'd a funcard for it but it says smartcard not inserted properly, i think where the card goes in is a bit loose, is there a way i can fix that or switch the card slot from the other box

Best way to check if the funcard holder is faulty is to boot up in eng menu (unplug power lead, press page up and down together and while holding down plug the power in untill you go into eng menu) and go to the card page and insert the card.

When you insert the card you should see the status change and it should display card status and the Rev.

If your using a mosc if could be that the mosc is toast, this will only be the case is when you try to program it, it fails and returns no atr string.

If you using a different card OR/AND a mosc which you are able to program then I would says you got a faulty card reader.

You need to open the box up and see it is fitted firm.ly.. from there you would be able to tell.


if you have a multi-meter handy set it up to test a clear current flow and test that the connection from the reader and to the circuit board are till working, you should hear a beep depening on your multi-meter. Follow the circet round to the circut board and test.

To change it you would need to de solder the points and remove the card reader and place a new/working 1 and re solder and test.

the card reader is a bit loose, i have already checked it but soldering stuff is way ahead of me coz i never done it and i don't have the equipmnt to check which one is faulty. anyways thanks alot 4 ur help i think i betta switch the turners back again.

people do it to help not for money but there is guides out there for stuck on tune every box is diffrent.

Let the box update do it with out a card in it then once updated put card back in alot of people say this works on new softwear so iv heard.
