Virgin has just sent me a new modem for an update.
I already have a 256 which is subbed and virgin has just sent me a new modem. Would you say its safe you plug the new one in and get it up and running and then use the one which is subbed at the moment and mod that... or the other way round. Do virgin keep track of the modem they send out, e.g. virgin sent me a modem with mac 1122334455 and that they would check if i pluged the modem with 1122334455 in and it was active. Thanks |

well im sure they got a record with the modem that you have so your best bet is sell that modem on ebay and buy a tottaly diff one...i mean in theory you can sub it if its an extra but why take the risk....plus it may already been updated so modding it would be a b*tch.just use then new one get your sell another modem taht easier to mod and get 40meg speeds together...voila
