Default Other satellites

I was on a site checking out the tv listings and noticed there are some satellites listed that i dont have. For example Thor 5 on 0.8w, and i have Thor 2/3 1.0w. There are a few others which are near the satellites i have preinstalled.I was wondering if i can input these other satellites and if so, how do i do it. I have a Technomate 5400, a 1m dish and a Technomate Motor.

The more important thing from the ordinary viewer's point is where the satellites are located rather than individual satellite names. For example 0.8w and 1w is essentially the same location and can for convenience be called Thor (rather than Thor 2 or Thor 5). In that case to watch programmes on the satellites in that position, the crucial thing is to have the correct transponder details (i.e. an up to date transponder list) which you can get at places like Lyngsat, Flysat etc or by doing a blind scan of the location.

In your case, all you have to do is add transponders listed for Thor 5 to the list of transponders you have for Thor 2/3 @ 1w and voila you will have Thor 5 channels.

Sure; in the menu there should be a list of satellites somewhere. You go through it and select a satellite you want to add - maybe by highlighting and pressing OK or something like that.

If the satellite you want is not in the list, you should have an option to add satellites by entering its orbital degree location and a name for it.

Hi, if there is a satelite that you want that is not listed you can add a new one.

In the Satellite setup menu, just click on the satellite name at the top and then scroll down until you reach a 0.0E----

Select it, then press the green button to rename it and then change the Sat Degree to the position that you want the new sat to be. Then press EXIT.

When you have done that go to the Advanced Search menu, and press the Green button to add new transponders.

As already said, for your Thor 5, you don't need to add a new satellite, just add the missing transponders (if any) to whatever is at 1W already.
