Default Software Update for Eurovox 1 / 2

Dear all,

I'm still a newbie to the upgrading of Eurovox (EV) software.

I have managed to upgrade the software for my MaxV but am a little confused on how I can do the same for my other ageing Eurovox box. :{

Firstly, how can I tell whether my 2nd box in front of me is a EV1 or a EV2? I previosuly thought it was a EV Blue box by checking against the cloned boxes threads. However, when trying to load the Blue (and Red) software the UFL message showed the "software is not fit for the box".

I have already downloaded the EV1 and 2 files from Bigmaq and they in a ".bin" format. Double clicking them will not let me load software to my ageing box!

Would appreciate any help on getting my box working again.

Many thanks peeps

Dear Lucky13

Many many thanks for your short but spot on assistance.

Figured out the pensioner is a Eurovox 1 and it's updating channels as I speak!

Many thanks again

How do you mean - are you manually inputting keys or are you flashing the new firmware onto the box?

Best thing to do first is to read the first page of each stickie at the top of this section as all the info you need will be found there. If you are still stuck after that then we are here to help
