Remember the guide is for IFA 2.2 but I know 2.3 works good too !!

what is ifa 2.2 and 2.3 and where do i find it m8

Sounds like hes useing 3.1
Its a differant ball game with Vista mate
Ide sack the serial
And go dirrect with A rj45 enthernet crossover cable
And try IFA 1.56..............Paul

Sounds like a novice, no offence mate we're here to help.

If I were you you and knew fekk all about dboxes I would download and read some guides freely available from the chatterbox CC toolbar ( google ).

Once you understand m8, my instructins hold good !!

read quite a lot on these boxes i am a novice with this box but not to other boxes i have been fitting and setting up motorised systems for years but this box is a tough cookie i will carry on reading but dont think the vista helps it is a **** system but i am stuck with it m8

dboxes are a piece of **** mate.....granted easier to get the job done with XP.

i had same problem m8 but i flashed new image with just a null serial cable using hyperterminal it take longer to do but worked for me because i couldnt work IFA if u want a complete guide of hyperterminal please let me know m8. (make sure u flash the right image for example 2X image on Dbox2 and 1X image on Dbox1)

Be very careful here, forget dbox1 coz we aren't talking about them. We're talking about dbox2 here. dbox1 is a completely different animal !!

All nokias are 2x, Sagems can be 1x OR 2x. If you're not sure google a proggy called flash check and run that.

Or u could look in the vents at the top of ur box and look for some chips. If u have 2 intel/ADM chips then u have to use a 2X image. If u have 1 intel/ADM chip then u need a 1X image. The chips will say something like flash intel or ADM on them.
