Message- account Locked. Help

Hi All
I have been getting this message every day now for the past week!!

Dear maximus,

Your account on Techwatch: Satellite TV forums, FTA, Cable, Hardware, & Tech forums has been locked because someone has tried to log into the account with the wrong password more than 5 times. You will be able to attempt to log in again in another 15 minutes.

The person trying to log into your account had the following IP address: ******** (deleted)

Has anyone else had the same??

I suggest you post this in the Announcement/Feedback section of the Forum rather than the Eurovox section - reckon a mod/admin will see it faster and act on it accordingly.

It will get lost in here otherwise

Hi, Was the IP address actually given?
If so, please could you PM it to me. I can check if it is another member trying to access your account, or if it is your own IP address.

Hello, Yes i have noticed that some times its really because if you have typed your username and then tried to log in or forgotten your password to the techwatch forums that might be one reasson that i happens unless someone has tried to get on to your account and typed the wrong thing in.

many of the different things that you try to log in to will bring this log in for 15 mins problem very simple you have tried 5 times to log in and have typed the wrong thing in that it decides to lock it selfs so that it wont allow you to log in for 15 mins if you remember what to type in when logging in then you shouldnt have that problem there is one thing i would like to ask do this happen always when you try to log in like you said everyday? it does happen to other people when they log in if they have forgotten password or their username and have tried to log in 5 times but cant log in then it will just do the same to everyone who cant remember anything like their username etc etc so you wont be the only one that it will happen to. there are several reasons for this:

1. if you forget password more than 5 times then it will go to that log in for 15 mins problem or username forgotten.

2. another reason might be that you are trying to log in but you may be having problems logging in.

3. try remembering everything when logging in because it will probably come back up again if you forget something 5 times.
like i said someone might be trying to access into your log in details or there is something that you may be typing in wrong.

Its not another member on here either.

I think the only thing you can do is to PM Brian the Admin and ask him to change your username a little.

Its coming up as being from the USA, probably some spammer/hacker PITA.
