Dear Peeps
Having flashed my Eurovox 1, the software load failed so I tried to reflash. I did notice however, the box remains in standby with the display showing a constant - -:- - ![]() Now, when trying to reflash, the computer doesn't recognise the COM ports of the box and no amount of using the remote control or resetting at the mains switch will let me power up the box from Standby mode. Would really really appreciate your assistance with this.... it's making my head hurt. Many thanks |

Hi,
The DNupman stated update "failed". However, I wish I could get to try something else ....at the moment the box will not come out of Standby. The clock displays - -:- -Thanks |

Its normal to get that message. If you wait for a couple of minutes it should change to download successful.

Aha.
What would you consider to be the next step? I have detached the update cable. The box currently has mains power but no clock on the display. I could do with getting it in a position to re-try updating the software. Cheers |

Try flashing again. When download starts pull power cable from box and plug it straight back in. Let download run. Wait and let message change to successful.

Ok,
just tried reloading the software. I attach the RS232 and hit the download button. The firmware downloader tries searching for the box but is unable to find it .When I attach my EV Max V there's no problem so I can only think it's the EV1 thats crippled somehow. Just got to get it back to a state where I can flash it again.... |
