lookin for some help here i've been offered a 4010 but i stay in a x telepest area can it work here? i mean can it be forced to take an update here?

if it can how do i get the bk from the box(never used 1 before) apart from the card,wthe card is there with the box but i think it with be no use,so can it be jtaged or led sim,if it can be jtaged could some 1 tell me the bytes for it.

For a telewest area use:

PACE di1000T
PACE di1010T Phase 1B
PACE ditv1000 Phase 1B
PACE di2000T - HARD TO GET THE BK IF THE CARD ISNT PAIRED (READ 2 x TSOP48)
PACE di4000T
SA 4000dvb
SA 4200dvb - HARD TO GET THE BK IF THE CARD ISNT PAIRED (READ TSOP56)
SA 8300 (TV DRIVE) - CANT GET THE BK IF THE CARD ISNT PAIRED
PACE di4000N - (on CR3.2 software & only if you cant get another box)

For an exCW area:

PACE ditv1000
PACE ditv1000 Phase 1B
PACE ditv2000 - HARD TO GET THE BK IF THE CARD ISNT PAIRED (READ 2 x TSOP48)
PACE di4000N
ANY PACE TELEWEST BOX (as far as I know!)
SAMSUNG 2100
SAMSUNG 2110 - CANT GET THE BK IF THE CARD ISNT PAIRED

For PURE NTL area:

PACE 4001
PACE 4010SAMSUNG 2100
SAMSUNG 2110 - CANT GET THE BK IF THE CARD ISNT PAIRED
I have also been told that the PACE 2000 boxes work here aswell to some extent, but I am unsure about other PACE docsis boxes (I would only use these as a last resort)

If it has two atmel chips its davic, one its docsis, they are normaly pure ntl with two chips and used to be made to work in tw, but now i dont think they will work on the 3.6 sw version without surgery, your better off getting a tw box.

@kid warrior cheers anyway m8 but i know what boxes work where i was asking if the 4010 could be modded to work in tw


@red cheers m8,i've got tw boxes already but as i was getting offered it for nowt so i thought i'd take it for the sake of doing another diff box.i've tried with the 4001's with no luck so thought it may work with these 1's.

i know the list says the 4010 is for pure ntl area but i have got one to work in ex C/W so maybe worth playing with, but one thing it wont update from CR3 software to latest, but this also means you dont have to put pin number in ever.

but, as i have found, the cr3 software has the audio description on. how do we get a box to update from cr3?

what was the deal with this wembley downgrade trick? what was the point in that? as i understand, you set net id to wembley and it overwrote cr2 ontop of cr3?

I have 2 boxes which will not update from cr3 for love nor money. and, they have this annoying aux description on.

the box's in question are 4000T and a 1010T (i'm in c+w) i've had a few telepest box's go onto c+w no prob, was just a matter of setting net and forcing. not these two thou, they just reboot when i try to force.

ok am a bit confused here, what box sould i advice a m8 who lives in Enfeild, London,

I thought sammy 2100 and 2110 pace 4000 and 4010 would work there.
