Hi Guys
, am so close to buying one of these two would appreciate some final pointers, hopefully today or tomorrow (1) Are the kryptview updates as reliable and on time as the eurovox? from what I have read although the eurovox seems most popular the kryptview sounds more convincing to me as it has real 16:9 widescreen, (2) is it a much better pic than eurovox max V? , (3) Is it true kryptview does not lose channels but Eurovox can?, Seems to be all eurovox on Fleabay and only few Krypts, yet a month ago there was loads on there, Is there any reason why?, I just want the box that is most reliable, Also (4) will my feed still be live even though had sly for 2 years and (5) could somebody explain pay per events, dont want anyone paying for my stuff, How do you know if somebody local has downloaded a film and does this mean i can watch it too, finally (6) is it just actual cable boxes that have talk back and what do i need to do to ensure I am undetected. |

Can only speak from an EV point of view
1) Kryptview was the first box to release a fix for the keyroll changes that occurred in April. However, they have yet to release the full firmware release. Eurovox is much more widely used and although was a bit slower bring out a fix for the change they have since release the full firmware version. The latest firmware release for the EV has true widescreen. 2) Haven't seen the KV picture so can't comment on this one 3) Occasionally the cable providers change the frequencies that channels are broadcast on. When this happens you simply perform an update scan on the EV (takes a minute to do). 4) To check if your feed is still live, connect a co-ax from the feed directly to your tv and see if you can get the standard terrestrial channels. 5) You cannot select which PPV event/movie to watch - as you've said, you see whatever has been released in your area. 6) Neither the Eurovox nor the Kryptview have talkback.

Ive got both boxes and prefer the Kryptview as the pcture quality is alot better on my 37" LCD also once scanned you never need to scan/update again as it automatically scans in standby mode and arranges the channels identicle to vermin eg sly sports 511 movies 401 ect, only downside is support seems to of gone a bit quiet since the 2 mods from modshack went down!
But as the cable scene seems to be picking back up no doubt so will the support for the boxes. If you do opt for thr Kryptview i'd recommend buying from TMC As for the eurovox ive not got a bad word to say about it its a very reliable box and has served me well for over 2 years, only slight downside is arranging channels and the slightly inferior picture quality on LCDs. You wont be dissapointed with either box you choose just stay clear of the starview and digivox lol |

Hi Guys
, Whats the better option to record TV Is it possible to record off either The eurovox max V or Kryptview to PC or something, Seen the box PVR for about £150, but starviews not as good as these two is it? and think the PVR is a starview 2 and not a 3, not sure of difference between the two, They do not do Eurovox or kryptview PVR's do they is there any other good PVR's or boxes that can have HDD's hooked up to them, Thanks |

There's no reason why you can't connect a HD recorder or DVD recorder to an EV and I presume the same would apply to a KV. iwantabox.com will sell you an EV and HD recorder as a package.
But as said by others you could always hold out for the PVR version of the boxes.
