Default can you get freeview

my mate was wandering if you can use the max v as a freeview box and get channels like setanta sports and other pay to view freeview channels. He hasnt got vurgin or anything like that just his normal tv antenna. Any help would be great

It has the wrong tuner on board, and the firmware would be incompatible.

If you want Setanta by Terrestrial, you need to get a Freeview box, I saw them in Sainbury's the other day with some sort of Sentata deal included.
