Thanks for quick answer Spikebaby; my box is 2100c, i tried your method, but from LD3 its jumps to LD20 & get stuck there, i just want find out latest software version, the box was off for about a year, this morn when switched on , it spent long time updating, i am trying to use POGO JTAG to find BK & IRD, But I keep getting "Target Communication error : PC to Target Cable Disconnected" error.

If the box spent a long time updating then its probably updated to the latest software, for which youll need the ;atest bytes available., type in BYTE to the search and you should find the posts withe them in,

Could be one of many reasons,mac_mot.sys driver not runing via drvload?
Incorrect connection on board, incorrect connection or settings on parralell port on pc,the list can get very extensive

Run us throughwhat your doing and how

thanks marc; first i am not sure if i am in debug mode, when i press down button when LD20 comesup then release when LD40 comesup; the 2100c box goes through other numbers & endsup on AP52 after the green light comesup on standby button and screen shows white VM logo in black background.

when I run BKE2.2 it gives me"Target Communication error : PC to Target Cable Disconnected" error. The mac-mot.sys driver came with BKE2.2. mac-mot drivers is running when i checked.

ps: you can tell I am a newby, any & all help is appreciated.

Try jtaggin with the box on the stream ie connected to the cable feed,

With the new firmware you wont actually get the box into a debug mode as such,
