Hi Nano, I would expect that it would be one of the silvercrest boxes, so it would be a Comag, but which one is the question.
Disc, if it is indeed the box I mentioned, then it should be a patchable one OK. Have a look here and it might be of some help to you http://www.techwatch.co.uk/forums/co...lvercrest.html The boxes which are sold in Lidl and Aldi tend to be Comag ones which are badged with a different name. Good luck with it. I did install a set up, in a holiday home, here in SW Ireland and even with the very small dish they supply, I had not trouble receiving all the channels, but I did realign an old Sly dish and put the LNB from the Silvercrest kit on it. Very best regards Wez

in Lidl they are badged as silvercreast,in Aldi Tevion etc, the reciever runs hot, but for the price is OK, I motorised mine for £30 using the £14 comag dish(80cm). Stand by mode is 3 watts, on full run about 20 watts. If you look at the English version of Comags web, all will be explained even the manuals can be downloaded. It also shows the Aldi/Lidl variants,if you look deeply into the web site. Bob Last edited by merlodlliw; 21-06-08 at 10:24 AM. |

I have yet to learn of someone who owns a comag silvercrest sl 65
or its other badge, to actually patch it and make it work. We are talking of one of the cheapest FTA recievers here with limitations. But very very good, about the best in its price league, also it runs very hot even on 20 watts, plenty of vents needed. Bob |
