Default Can somebody help??

Hey guys!! I am new to this forum and to video shoot as well. I am planning to buy a camcorder which is not very complicated to use but also it should have features that can be useful to me once i get a good hand on shooting..I think I would prefer sony as they are known for their quality. The optical zoom can be around 20 and also it should have a high digital zoom. I have found some good camcorders @ checkcost at affordable prices. Also I went through some reviews but still I am confused as to which one to go for.. Help will be appeciated. Thanks in advance..

go for one with DV output that way you can just conect to pc and windows movie maker will control your camcorder and also look for a camera with CCD sensor, i think currently 3CCD is the best.

Stay away from CMOS sensors as they arent as good as CCD sensors IMO.

Also try to get one with a really good viewfinder as the picture will be more stable using the viewfinder compared to the LCD screen, which i reckon is just a gimmick on camcorders.

Agreed. DV output is much better and easier, plus there are many software applications which will transfer your vids from the camcorder to the PC and edit, should you require it. I have a Sony camcorder, its easy and simple to use, but also gives great footage.
