Hi,
you need to carefully adjust the dish for maxumum quality. The dishpointer figures are a starting point only. Which satellite are you trying to get? Robbo ![]() |

The strength is little more than the quality of the electrical connection between the receiver and the lnb on the dish. Ignore it and concentrate on the quality reading. 5% tells us its not pointing at anything!

![]() Firstly you have to setup the Diseqc switching for the monoblock. Find out which part of the LNB corresponds to position 1, and clamp that side onto your dish. When looking at the dish face the Hotbird LNB is always on the right, and higher than the Astra 19E one. Whichever LNB is at the focus, pick a transponder form the satellite (use lyngsat) and adjust dish for max quality. If you have problems, ditch the LNB for a moment, and use a single one, and use that to align the dish for Hotbird. The monoblock can then be put back on with the RHS LNB in the clamp, with the Astra LNB to the left but lower. ![]() |

When I did the equivalent, an 80cm dish, dual LNB to 19E and single to 13E, I did all the tweaking at ground level (IIRC clamped to a "workmate"), then transferred it to the pole above gutter height, although a monoblock would have much simplified that compared to a fully-adjustable multi holder.
