Quick answer - NO
Not enough HD channels to make it worth while yet, but im sure they are working on it.
I have 2 Max V boxes in bedrooms and a Replay PVR in livingroom......
Replay not as good as EV but the recording function is worh having it alone.
Looking forward to EV PVR....

they dont make them anymore as they are big bulky and very buggy.

Not that i pretend that i understand this Nagra stuff, but will these new boxes be compatible when the new codes are released that people seemed to be worried about?

Exactly, i wouldnt worry about HD just yet, you need the box to unscramble channels 1st.

Until we know when and exactly what the cc's are going to do we can only speculate, and nobody can say for certain which boxes if any will work except for legit boxes.

I was considering getting the Starview PVR, but there seems to be a few issues with this box relating to new firmware updates etc....

I just trust the Eurovox brand more, as due to it being very popular, it seems to get updates alot quicker than other competitors.

Looking forward to finding out price, release date and reliability of PVR features (as well as hard drive capacity) for the Eurovox PV2.

Relatively speaking (as its only a box) I am very excited about this.

the hard drive capacity will be what ever you want as you will be responsible for buying your own harddrive and simply pushing it in. price wise it wont be much different to it is just now.
