Default Progdvb 4.87.7 Vs 5.14.9

I've followed all the instructions for Progdvb with Vplug and have it working great using the downloads from here.. however i wanted to try the new version of ProgDVB.. so i downloaded it from the site, went over the top of my old install and ran it.. all seems fine at first glance however the video stutters badly.. i've checked the codecs it's using and its set to Elecard which is what i was using in the old version (though expired).. any ideas how i can stop this happening as i like the EPG in the new version of ProgDVB.. either that or is there anything i can use seperate to ProgDVB as a nice looking EPG....?

progDVB was made by a russian, so yes it is very very unstable,

Thats why i tried all the previous and current version to pick out the one which is most stable, i think they fluked that one or it was programmed by elecard themselves

Are you using vista? the fancy graphical effects can cause stuttering of video (real processor hungry), try turning them off. I would also try using a different codec or you will get the nagging elecard logo across the bottom of screen after a few weeks.

I was using Vista but went back to XP to try and fix the problems.. it didn't help.. I'm now trying out DVBDream.. seems like a nicer piece of software sham eit doesn't pick up the channel names as well as ProgDVB tho...however i actually get a picture off BBC HD now which is good.. even if it is like 1 frame per minute just gotta figure out the codecs for that now.
